We have had many beautiful, quality lambs over the years and wish we could keep them all.  Sadly we can't but are happy to offer you the opportunity to add some of our sheep to your flock! We can offer discounts for the purchase of three of more sheep.  We usually use at least two different breeding rams per season so that we are able to offer unrelated animals.  We maintain a healthy flock and have had no problems or outbreaks of foot rot.  Worming and vaccinations are up to date and we can provide you with an extended pedigree on each animal if you are interested.  The majority of our flock are full Corriedale though we have occasionally used a Corriedale cross ram (either Corriedale/Merino or Corriedale/CVM)  so we have some three-quarter blood ewes.  If you are looking for an exceptional, dual-purpose sheep with an emphasis on wool, lambs and gentle mothering abilities with more body, wool and bone than air and leg ~ we believe you have found the right place!

SERENITY FARMS FLOCK.....

What do we look for in a breeding stock?

The requirement is the same for all sheep at Serenity Farms - sound conformation and exceptional fleece are first, and in the ewes a quiet nature and good mothering instincts follow.  For the rams this is followed very closely with good temperament. A strong interest in the ewes (libido) of course, because we don't get lambs without that! When I chose my original sheep from Mar-Rita farms, I looked closely at flock records (and thankfully Rita has many years worth!) to chose from family lines with proven longevity and consistent producers of both color and exceptional fleece quality in descendents.  I have not been disappointed, and we are now on our fourth generation of our own Serenity Farms flock.

For 2009, we used three different rams, so will have a variety of bloodlines available.  Lambs should begin arriving the end of April.  We may also have some experienced ewes for sale next year.
