Lambing began in the cold of February with a set of triplet ewes to a first time mama.  We saved two, but lost one.  Next came an apparantly healthy set of twin lambs, but we came to the barn to find one dead the next morning.  Then came Cherie's set of twin ewes and they are fine!  That is one of them, ELLA BLUE, in the top left photo above with the chicken.  She is a keeper!  All of those lambs were sired by our home raised ram lamb, DEREK, who got an early start on things!  The remainder of the flock was bred by AUTRY (also home grown) and we are very, very pleasd.  Starting again on March 26, we added 2 more sets of triplets; 6 more twins and 3 singles for a grand total of 14 ewe lambs, 14 ram lambs.  Of that 26 lambs, 23 are still alive. One more ewe to lamb...
